Journal Scopes and Aims
The Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning Foundation (3CL) is pleased to announce the launch of the Journal of Disruptive Technologies, Education, and Communications (JDTEC), an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to exploring and critically engaging with ongoing and prospective intersections of technology, education, and communication.
Disruptive technologies are innovations that significantly alter or displace established methods, processes, or markets by creating new opportunities or challenges. In the context of education and communication, these include technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and virtual reality, which redefine how knowledge is accessed, shared, and created.
Submissions focusing on interdisciplinary perspectives (e.g., combining education with sociology, psychology, communication studies, computer sciences, media literacy, anthropology and economics) are particularly encouraged. The journal encourages contributions from students in adult, higher and further education, practitioners, and policymakers.
